A senior Lecturer at the Akwa Ibom State College of Education, Afaha Nsit, Mr Enobong Sunday Akpan is set to give his late mother, Late Madam Bessie John Akpaffiong a final resting place who died at the age of 85.
Late Madam Bessie Akpaffiong died late September, 2024 after a brief illness. She was a devout Christian, served God till death and also trained her children to love God and follow His ways, would be remembered for her peaceful disposition and dutiful nature.
In a burial release and invitation by the son, a savant teacher and erudite scholar, Enobong Akpan and made available to Century Newsfront indicates that the burial will hold in December, 2024, “Elder and Deaconess Enobong Akpan, College of Education Afaha Nsit Akwa-Ibom State Cordially invites friends, colleagues, acquaintances and the general public to the celebration of life of our dear mother, Mother-in-law & Grandmother, Late madam Bessie John Akpaffiong at the age of 85 years”.
According to him, lying in state/funeral service is slated for Saturday 28th December, 2024 at 10am.
The release further stated that the ceremony would be conducted by The Apostolic Church, Secretariat Road Assembly, Etinan as interment follows immediately at 15 Iman Road/Etinan Local Government Secretariat Grounds, “Please join me in bidding my late mother the last farewell. May her memory be a blessing. Amen”.
