Peace Poly Upgraded To Run ND, HND Programs

…as FME, NBTE give nod at Upgrade Resources Inspection Visit

The Federal Government of Nigeria has granted permission to the prestigious Peace Institute of Management and Technology (Peace Poly) Abak to run full academic program in National Diploma (ND) for the 2025/2026 academic year. The accreditation covers Arts, Science, ICT, engineering, humanity among others. While the Higher National Diploma (HND) in same courses will commence the next two years, 2027/2028 academic year.

In a release issued and signed by the Rector and Head of Administration of the Polytechnic, Prof. Peace Udosen and made available to Century Newsfront indicates that the approval came after the ‘high powered’ delegation team from the Federal Ministry of Education (FME) and the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) visit to the institution November 2024, “Peace Poly shall now be qualified to award National Diploma (ND) in Accounting, Business Administration and Management, Public Administration, Computer Science, Networking and System Engineering, Multimedia Technology/Mass Communication. Also in the next two years, we shall start Higher National Diploma (HND) with our name and mobilize our graduates for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme with our name”, the statement explained.

The erudite Scholar and Professor of Computer Science Education further noted that Peace Polytechnic has been approved as center for weekends contact sessions(lectures) and examinations for B.Ed & PGDE programmes coordinated by National Teachers’ Institute (NTI) and issuance of certificates done by University of Port Harcourt  as well as undergraduate & post graduate programmes up to Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) of the prestigious British American Open University of California etc., “Peace Institute of Management Technology (Peace Poly) Nigeria is now an approved Akwa Ibom State Information Resource Center for “Iconic Open University Sokoto”, an approved and accredited University Listed in JAMB Brochure with B.Sc, PGD, M.Sc and M.Ed  courses in Medical Laboratory Science, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Nursing Science, Public Health, Health Information Management, Computer Science, Accounting. Others are Public Administration, Business Administration, International Relations & Diplomacy, English Language and Literature, Mass Communication, Software Engineering, Criminology and Security Studies.
