ANPA WEEK 2025: Ibom Int’l Hotel Ready June 2026 – Contractors

With just a day to the Amalgamated Newspaper Publishers Association (ANPA) week Luncheon and award ceremony, the Newspaper publishers on Wednesday paid an unscheduled inspection visit to the Ibom International Hotel where they were taken round sections of the hotel where work was ongoing with an assurance from the contractors that the project is billed for completion by June, 2026.

Taking the ANPA members round, the Project Manager, Engr. Elie Najem said his construction company, RATCOM Construction are poised in delivering quality job that will stand the taste of time as well as give them a pride of place in the minds of Akwa Ibom people.

On the challenges met on the project, Elie said it’s just a natural challenge which is rain that every other logistics like releases needed to facilitate the work has been adequately provided by the State Government. While thanking the State Government for the support given to expedite the project, the seasoned construction Engineer assured that the massive project which has 250 rooms with 5 lifts of 13 persons capacity each will be taken to conclusion and delivered on or before June, 2026.

Also speaking earlier, the project Quantity Surveyor, Engr. Alade Abiodung debunked the widely peddled misconception that the foundation of the billion-naira project is faulty, describing it as antics of political detractors to misinformed the innocent public. “The news making the rounds that the foundation of the Ibom Intl Hotel is faulty is information cooked by detractors to mislead the public and discredit the government.

I can tell you with proofs that the foundation of this building is deeper than two tall men joined together, so the assertion is a foul play on truth” Abiodung explained.

Responding, the President General of ANPA who led the team thanked the contractors for interpreting the dream of government and charged that the project be delivered on agreed time and specified quality.

Other members present were the Chairman of CPC, Elder Patrick Albert, the Chairman BOT, Comrade Ernest Akpan and other ANPA members.
