TSG Congratulates Tinubu, Shettima On APC Nomination For 2027 Presidential Election

The Director-General of the Tinubu Support Group (TSG), Dr. Umar Tanko Yakasai has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima on their emergence as the presidential and vice-presidential candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 general election.

In a congratulatory message issued on behalf of the Founder and Convener of the Tinubu Support Group, Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, Dr. Yakasai described the submission of President Tinubu’s APC nomination form as a significant milestone that reflects the confidence of the ruling party in the President’s leadership and his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

According to him, the nomination demonstrates the party’s belief in President Tinubu’s commitment to nation-building, economic reforms, infrastructure development, institutional strengthening and democratic consolidation. He noted that despite prevailing economic and governance challenges, the President has remained focused on implementing reforms aimed at laying the foundation for a stronger, more prosperous and globally competitive Nigeria.

Dr. Yakasai also congratulated Vice President Kashim Shettima on his renomination, describing it as a well-deserved recognition of his loyalty, competence and dedication to the success of the administration. He said the continued partnership between President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima has provided stability in governance and demonstrated a shared commitment to advancing Nigeria’s national interest, “the Vice President’s renomination is a clear affirmation of the confidence reposed in him by Mr. President and the party, as well as a testament to his invaluable contributions to the achievements of the administration,” the statement said.

The TSG Director-General further expressed optimism that the APC ticket would continue to inspire confidence among Nigerians, while praying for divine wisdom, sound health and renewed strength for both leaders as they prepare for the 2027 presidential election. He urged Nigerians to continue supporting the administration’s vision of a united, peaceful, secure and economically vibrant nation.

Dr. Yakasai also expressed the hope that history would remember the Tinubu-Shettima administration for deepening democratic governance, accelerating national development and laying a solid foundation for future generations. The Tinubu Support Group described itself as the umbrella body of support groups working to promote the policies and programmes of President Tinubu’s administration across Nigeria and in the diaspora.
