The Akwa Ibom Christian Embassy (AKICEM), a faith-based Christian prayer network, has collapsed its entire organizational structure of over 3000 members into the Eyewitness Network (EWN), declaring its support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term bid in the 2027 presidential election.

The decision was announced during the organization’s monthly general meeting held in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, where the National Secretary of the Eyewitness Network, Dr. Saviour Ekpe, attended as a special guest following an invitation by the leadership of AKICEM.

The meeting, attended by key stakeholders, executive and members drawn from across the state, culminated in the formal handover of AKICEM’s structure to the Eyewitness Network. Speaking during the ceremony, the President of AKICEM, Apostle Peters Udoh, said the decision followed a unanimous resolution reached after members carefully assessed the activities, vision and commitment of the Eyewitness Network towards supporting the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

According to him, AKICEM, established in 2018 with branches across Akwa Ibom State, has consistently served as a prayer platform dedicated to interceding for the All Progressives Congress (APC), its leaders and governments at various levels. He explained that the organization would now channel its spiritual support and grassroots mobilization through the Eyewitness Network to promote President Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.

He explained that the Eyewitness Network has demonstrated commitment to the ideals of national unity, responsible leadership and the Renewed Hope Agenda. He believes it provides a credible platform through which patriotic Nigerians can contribute to the continuity of good governance and national development.

Responding, the National Secretary of the Eyewitness Network, Dr. Saviour Ekpe, described the development as a significant milestone in the Network’s nationwide expansion and grassroots mobilization efforts. Dr Ekpe expressed appreciation to the leadership and members of AKICEM for the confidence reposed in the Network, commending the organization for its sustained commitment to praying for Nigeria and promoting peace and unity.

The Eyewitness Chief Scribe assured members that the Eyewitness Network would justify the confidence placed in it by continuing to build a broad-based movement of patriotic Nigerians committed to supporting President Tinubu’s leadership and developmental agenda.

He further announced that in recognition of AKICEM’s influence and contribution, some of its leaders and key stakeholders would be integrated into the leadership structure of the Eyewitness Network to strengthen collaboration and deepen grassroots mobilization across Akwa Ibom State and beyond.

The event ended with prayers for the Eyewitness Network, Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the success of the Renewed Hope Agenda and peaceful and prosperous governance across the country.

The Eyewitness Network is a national support movement advocating the continuity of President Tinubu’s administration and the implementation of policies aimed at national development, while AKICEM is a Christian prayer network with branches across Akwa Ibom State dedicated to interceding for the nation and its leaders.
