Renowned aircraft maintenance engineer and entrepreneur, Engr. Dr. Isaac Balami, has thrown his weight behind the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027, declaring that the President deserves the support of Nigerians.

Balami made the declaration in Abuja when he received a delegation of the Eyewitness Network (EWN), led by its National Director, Exlibris Christopher Ekefre, on a courtesy visit to the Altitude Aviation Lounge Restaurant, Gana Street, Maitama.

He specifically called on Nigerians to support President Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections, saying the President is doing his best for the country at a critical period.

The aviation expert said he was prepared to contribute everything within his capacity towards ensuring the success of President Tinubu in 2027, pointing to what he described as the President’s notable achievements across the country and his foreign policy initiatives.

According to Balami, Tinubu’s foreign policy efforts have also helped to place Nigeria prominently on the global map, stressing that Nigerians should support the administration.

He commended the Eyewitness Network for its growing national structure and activities, particularly its initiative of documenting and chronicling the activities and achievements of President Tinubu in books.

Balami described the documentation effort as important for preserving the records of the administration for posterity and commended Eyewitness Network for working within the law in its mobilisation efforts for the President’s re-election.

The Eyewitness Network, which was led by its National Director, Exlibris Christopher Ekekre along side with Deputy National Director, Hajiya Bera’u Dahiru Auwal; National Vice Director (North East), Hajiya Hussaina Dikko; and Dorathy Agbo, a member of the Network from Cross River State.

National Director commended Balami for his inspiring journey from humble beginnings in Borno State to becoming an accomplished aircraft maintenance engineer, entrepreneur and pioneer in aeronautics education.

He also applauded the establishment of what he described as Africa’s first private aeronautics university, noting that the institution was creating opportunities for the training and development of future aviation professionals. The Eyewitness Network Director explained that while the organisation is mobilising support for President Tinubu’s 2027 re-election, its mission extends beyond partisan politics to promoting good leadership, national development and unity.

In recognition of Balami’s achievements and contributions to aviation, education and national development, the Network national leader presented him with a Life Patronship Award following a unanimous resolution of its General Executive Meeting in August.

Receiving the award, Balami thanked the delegation for the honour and congratulated Eyewitness Network on what he described as its “brilliant achievements” so far. He assured the organisation of his readiness to maintain a fruitful relationship with the Network and support initiatives aimed at advancing national development. The engagement further highlighted EWN’s ongoing efforts to expand its presence across the country, engage prominent Nigerians and document developments as the nation approaches the 2027 general elections.
