EMR Partners Port Harcourt Tourism Conference, Calls For Wider Participation

The Energy and Maritime Reporters of Nigeria (EMR) has announced its partnership with the forthcoming Port Harcourt Tourism Conference ‘Special’ 2026, scheduled to hold from November 17 to 22, 2026 at the NUJ Complex, Rivers State Council, Port Harcourt.

The six-day conference, organised by Encyclopedia Nigeria Limited in collaboration with its partners, has the theme, “Promoting Nigeria’s Vast Tourism Opportunities, Exposing Untapped and Hidden Tourism Potentials” is expected to attract tourism experts, investors, government representatives, hospitality operators, aviation industry stakeholders, tourism organisations, media professionals and other key players across the tourism and hospitality value chain. The development was contained in a press release issued by the National Secretary of EMR, Saviour Ekpe, Ph.D., and made available to Century Newsfront.

Speaking on the partnership, the conference organiser and Lagos State Chairman of EMR, Princess Happiness Aduku, said the conference was designed to promote Nigeria’s tourism opportunities while creating platforms for investment, networking and strategic partnerships. Aduku urged EMR members to give the conference wider publicity and participate actively, stressing that the programme was relevant to stakeholders across the tourism and hospitality industry.

She particularly called on hotels, resorts, tourism operators, investors, advertisers, government agencies, hospitality businesses, vendors and other stakeholders to attend and take advantage of the opportunities offered by the conference.

Also speaking, EMR National Chairman, Comrade Martins Giadom, commended Aduku and the organisers for putting the conference together, describing Port Harcourt as a fitting location for an event designed to showcase Nigeria’s tourism potential. Giadom said the conference would provide an opportunity to further promote the tourism and investment potentials of the Niger Delta and Nigeria as a whole.

He assured the organisers of EMR’s media support, saying the association would use its members and communication platforms to provide publicity for the event. The EMR National Chairman also encouraged members of the public and tourism stakeholders to register for the conference and explore the exhibition opportunities available to participants.

According to him, the conference would empower players in the tourism sector, promote investment and business opportunities, encourage networking and facilitate partnerships capable of contributing to the growth of Nigeria’s tourism and hospitality industry. Activities lined up for the event include a conference, runway fashion show, tourism exhibitions, roundtable and panel discussions, networking sessions and a hospitality industry forum, among others.

EMR therefore called on its members, tourism correspondents, media professionals and other stakeholders to support the conference through wider publicity and active participation.
